General Questions
Yes, we were founded in early 2020 with the mission of producing our own protection that is not only readily available, but of great quality.
United States Mask does not have a physical store and pickup is not available. If you have questions about delivery, please email info@unitedstatesmask.com or take a look at our Shipping FAQS down below.
Yes. Our NIOSH approved, 1812 N95 respirator is available on our website in packs of 20, 40, and 100 for those of you who like to restock your stockpile!
We still strive to become one of America’s #1 N95 manufacturers, but also realize we need to keep moving forward with the bigger mission. We’ve been asking ourselves, what other products are primarily imported that need to be made here in the USA? What other domestic manufacturing companies are struggling to compete with a flood of cheap imports? And how can United States Mask help? We have a few projects we’re working on over here, but if you have any input, we always love to hear from you.
Pandemic or not. We’ll keep on making N95 respirators as long as our country needs them, but it’s time to continue on with our mission and bring back U.S. manufacturing of other safety products. We’re excited for what’s to come and will keep you updated along our journey. Thank you for being a part of the movement!

The 1836 N95 is no longer available.
United States Mask officially stopped production of the 1836 N95 model back in May of 2021 to focus on certifying our new respirator model, the 1812 N95. The model 1836 N95 was certified under the public health emergency authorizations in 2020 which meant that whenever the CDC/NIOSH would declare the public health emergency over, our ability to sell the 1836 as an N95 would cease. That’s a tough way to run a business so we decided to make sure we have conventional approval so we can make these for a long time to come. (Rest assured though, the 1836 still had to pass all the same filtration and performance standards as any N95 out there.)
Our new 1812 N95 is a conventional N95 respirator approved by NIOSH and the CDC (you can find the 1812 listed on the CDC's list of approved N95 respirators). The 1812 N95 can be purchased on our website, Amazon store front, or the Project N95 website.
All of our respirator models feature head straps. This is the American standard for N95s.
If you find a mask in the marketplace labeled N95 with ear loops, it is counterfeit and not an N95 by CDC/NIOSH standards. A KN95 with ear loops meets the Chinese standard but does not meet NIOSH standards.
Our respirators are disposable respirators, designed for one use. Please check the CDC website for their guidelines on the reuse of N95 respirators.
No. They are also fiberglass free, gluten free, sulfite free, fat free, cholesterol free and dairy free, and our machinery doesn’t process nuts. (OK, so not all of those are ‘frequently asked,’ but we like to cover our bases.)
At the moment, we only produce our respirators in white.
However, producing our masks in different colors is something that we are looking at for the future and we understand the need. Different colors come with its own set of challenges, and we want to make sure that when we do, we are procuring the same high quality materials used in our white masks and respirators.
Our 1812 N95 respirator is equivalent to a M/L sized mask. The dimensions of the mask are roughly 6 inches in height and 4 inches in width (those dimensions are with the mask completely open).

That’s not a question but yes, the nose piece is thicker (but not too thick) by design. Adjust it to get a good fit for your face and your glasses won’t fog.
No. Don’t do that. These are disposable (and recyclable!) respirators designed for one use. Please check the CDC website for their guidelines on the reuse of N95 respirators.
All of our respirators recyclable! Put it in your recycle bin, or, at the very least, throw it in the trash (not on the ground.) It’s always a good idea to wash your hands after.
